Man Charged for Killing Atlanta Housewife`s Ex-Fiance
The man who was arrested in connection with the beating death of Ashley "A.J." Jewell -- the ex-fiance of Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss -- has been charged with voluntary manslaughter.
Frederick Richardson -- an employee at the Body Tap Club, the Atlanta strip club where the fight that caused Jewell to suffer a severe head injury took place -- is currently being held at Grady Detention in connection with the crime, Atlanta TV station WBSTV reports.
Authorities said Richardson was also injured and will be transported to the Fulton County Jail once he is cleared by medical personnel.
Burruss` rep told Usmagazine.com: "As has been reported, Ashley Jewell, 34, was killed in Atlanta last night. AJ, as he is known to many and Kandi Burruss of Real House Wives of Atlanta and formerly of platinum recording group Xscape were engaged to be married. Kandi is devastated as she is also mourning the death of her uncle, Ralph Leslie, and is attending his funeral today. She has no statements to make at this time and there are no final details on the death of AJ."
